"body_md": "# Tracker Lab\n\nOccupies Files Preview for `.sid`, `.mod`, `.xm`, `.it`, `.s3m`, and\n`.trackerlab`. Selecting a file in the list loads it in place (Simple or Lab).\nLeaving the row stops in-Preview sound.\n\nPlaySID dumps from Amiga disks (raw C64 player bytes, often renamed `.sid`)\nneed the companion `.info` with `SID:PlaySID` tooltypes; Tracker Lab wraps\nthose as PSID so they play. A `.sid` without PSID/RSID magic and without that\ncompanion is refused rather than played as a garbled header.\n\n**Autoplay** is a plugin setting (default **on**). With autoplay **off**,\nselection loads **paused**; **Play** starts sound.\n\n**Simple** is a finished in-Preview player: live visualization, Play / Pause /\n**Stop**, mute, volume, elapsed/total, and SID title, author, and\nreleased/info. SID total time is **3:00** by default (the file has no duration\nfield). A song picker appears when the SID has more than one song. Tracker\nmodules use the same transport; elapsed/total follows the module when the\nplayer reports a duration, and you can seek.\n\n**Lab** is a read-only stare: pattern grid, mute/solo, loop, and step for\nmodules; SID metadata, voice analyser, and song picker. Lab shares Play, Pause,\n**Stop**, and master **volume**. There is no pattern editor.\n\n**Extract** writes sample, loop, and pattern-range WAV files beside the source\n(and a SID comment when the header has one). **Save to project** writes a\n`.trackerlab` snapshot beside the source; opening it restores the captured\nplayhead paused. A missing or mismatched source fails visibly.\n\nDisable the plugin and `.sid` returns to the built-in SID player; tracker\nextensions fall back to Hex. C64 media is opened by the C64 Studio Extension.\n\n## Capabilities\n\n- Occupies Files Preview for SID, tracker modules, and snapshots\n- Inspect and extract hops without playback\n- Simple player and Lab stare in Files Preview\n- `.trackerlab` snapshot save and resume\n\n## Getting started\n\nInstall from the plugin catalog, open Files, and select a `.mod` or `.sid`.\nUse **Open Lab** to stare; **Save to project** to freeze the playhead.",
