Tracker Lab

Occupies Files Preview for `.sid`, `.mod`, `.xm`, `.it`, `.s3m`, and `.trackerlab`. Selecting a file in the list loads it in place (Simple or Lab). Leaving the row stops in-Preview sound.

PlaySID dumps from Amiga disks (raw C64 player bytes, often renamed `.sid`) need the companion `.info` with `SID:PlaySID` tooltypes; Tracker Lab wraps those as PSID so they play. A `.sid` without PSID/RSID magic and without that companion is refused rather than played as a garbled header.

**Autoplay** is a plugin setting (default **on**). With autoplay **off**, selection loads **paused**; **Play** starts sound.

**Simple** is a finished in-Preview player: live visualization, Play / Pause / **Stop**, mute, volume, elapsed/total, and SID title, author, and released/info. SID total time is **3:00** by default (the file has no duration field). A song picker appears when the SID has more than one song. Tracker modules use the same transport; elapsed/total follows the module when the player reports a duration, and you can seek.

**Lab** is a read-only stare: pattern grid, mute/solo, loop, and step for modules; SID metadata, voice analyser, and song picker. Lab shares Play, Pause, **Stop**, and master **volume**. There is no pattern editor.

**Extract** writes sample, loop, and pattern-range WAV files beside the source (and a SID comment when the header has one). **Save to project** writes a `.trackerlab` snapshot beside the source; opening it restores the captured playhead paused. A missing or mismatched source fails visibly.

Disable the plugin and `.sid` returns to the built-in SID player; tracker extensions fall back to Hex. C64 media is opened by the C64 Studio Extension.
